WINDSHIELD VISORS
Windshield sun-visors are placed in cold and dark. Interact with the visors to remove them, or interact with the windshield visor stickers located in the upper corner of each windshield to install them.
GROUND SERVICES
The VSL 510X is fully compatible with X-Plane 12 native Ground Services, including GPU (Ground Power Unit), and other ground services.
Use Shift- G to pop-out X-Plane 12 ground handling window, then ‘request’ the desired service.
Once popped out, you can request the GPU, add or remove chocks, call for aircraft services and use the push-back feature.
*Keep in mind that the aircraft must be parked in an airport that can provide ground services!
GPU (Ground Power Unit)
When calling the GPU and the Ground services, it might take a while as the GPU is being towed to the aircraft by a virtual driver. The fuel truck is also driven by a virtual driver and both drives slowly, due safety considerations in the flight zone. In a large airport, it can take a minute or two… so be patient.
Once the GPU driver parks in the designated place, the GPU is automatically connected to the GPU receptacle. Setting the Battery switch to BATT then brings GPU power into the aircraft’s electrical system.
REFUELING
The fuel truck will park for about a minute before leaving. You must fuel the aircraft manually, using X-Plane GUI (standard procedure).
CHOCKS
The chocks are automatically installed in cold and dark start. You can remove or place them using the command in the pop-out window, but also by interacting with it from external view.
